“Madness”

In Chapter Eleven we are joined by Scott McCorry from the Temporary Stand Podcast and the HuddleBoard. We cover the period 1994 to 2000 as the Club goes through a very topsy-turvy time with turmoil reigning on and off the field. Fergus has just arrived to steady the ship but there is a lot of work to be done with a new stadium to be built and maybe more importantly, a team to better Rangers who are on a quest to beat our historic record of nine domestic titles in a row.

The managerial roundabout was in full swing as Celtic saw five changes with Macari out, Tommy Burns in, Tommy Burns out, Wim in, Wim out, Dr Joe in, Dr Joe out, John Barnes and King Kenny in. Never in the history of the club had the fans seen such upheaval and change, but a new stadium, a new Club and a mixture of superstars and pretenders entertained us on the way. Prepare to cry, laugh and then cry again as we relive a fascinating period for all hoops fans.

As well as discussing the action on the pitch, David Low joins us to talk about his experiences on the boardroom action off the pitch as Fergus puts into place his plan for the future. We have Tales from the Wiki, the History of the Stadium, the History of the Celtic Shirt, as well as all your Fan Stories and Confessions and a tribute to the late Jimmy Connolly Johnstone.

As our Eleventh guests, Scott nominates Scottish Autism as this chapter’s charity and you can learn more about them at http://www.scottishautism.org/

We are asking everyone that downloads the podcast to donate one pound, fifty pence or even a fiver for the episode, but really anything you can afford will be greatly appreciated and ALL monies raised will be given to the ten worthy charities at the end of the series.
